Lucy Avenue is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act via by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in its Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, as well as requirements under the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010.

Lucy Avenue is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with all applicable standards, including WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards up to level AA. 

While we follow W3C's globally recognized standards to provide content that is compatible with computer-based assistive technologies and browsers, we recommend using the most current versions of (or the version released just prior to) the manufacturer's assistive technology applications, along with current versions of browsers. We also recommend trying different types of browsers with assistive technology applications to determine which combination works best for you. Please note, we do not control such vendors, we strongly encourage vendors of third-party digital content to provide content that is accessible and user friendly.

Additionally, we support screen magnification technologies and accessibility features — like zoom, color and other image controls — that major browsers provide. Along with using an accessible program where if you click on the Accessibility it will pull up the menu for you.

We don't provide assistive technology applications or browsers. Please visit the individual manufacturer's site for information about how to obtain them. You may also have access to assistance from local and state agencies or non-profit groups in your area.
